Named after its original founder Ferdinand Halm, the renowned city hotel with 102 rooms, suites and conference rooms is located directly opposite the Constance train station, centrally at the entrance to the famous old town. Any questions?
Your room will be available to you on the day of arrival from 4 PM at the latest. On the day of your departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the room by 11 AM.
If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later, please contact our reception team in advance. We will then gladly check the availability for an early check-in or late check-out. You can, of course, store your luggage with us free of charge.
Thanks to its central location on Bahnhofplatz, you are in the heart of Konstanz and can reach the most important destinations in the shortest possible time:
Main train station: Hotel Halm is located directly opposite the train station. You can reach the train station in less than a minute's walk (approx. 30 meters).
Lake Constance & Harbor: The lakeshore and Konstanz harbor are just a short walk away. In less than 5 minutes you can reach the lakeside promenade and the famous 'Imperia' statue.
This makes Hotel Halm the ideal starting point for exploring the city and the Lake Constance region on foot or by boat.
Our rich buffet in the 'Moorish Hall' awaits you daily at the following times:
Monday to Sunday: from 07:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
To avoid long waiting times, we offer our hotel guests a choice of different time slots. We recommend reserving your desired breakfast time at our reception the evening before.
We welcome you in the morning in our magnificent Moorish Hall. In this historic ambiance, where our restaurant 'Le Marrakech' also pampers you in the evening, a rich breakfast buffet awaits you with a large selection of regional and homemade specialties. Enjoy the start of your day in one of Konstanz's most impressive rooms.
A few underground parking spaces are available in our directly adjacent partner hotel 'Alte Post'. Our reception team will be happy to provide information upon your arrival.
As nearby alternatives, we recommend the public car park Marktstätte (Dammgasse, directly at the hotel's rear entrance), the Lago car park (access via Laube/Bodanstraße) or the Fischmarkt car park (access via Konzilstrasse) - both approx. 5 minutes' walk away.
In case of heavy traffic, we recommend the P+R car parks on Reichenaustraße. During the season, you can take a water taxi (a direct boat connection) from there to Konstanz harbor, which is less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
